Protect Your Hair

If you're not already, you ned to protect your hair before styling your hair with hot tools.  I personally love TRESemme Heat Tamer.  One time, I forgot to pack it and had to go without for a whole week and I swear I did more damage in 7 days than I had in years of styling.  I had to go for a cut after because ends were so damaged.

Hairspiration

I think it's MK but I can really only tell them apart when they're standing next to each other (which is almost all the time).  I'm sure it's extensions but I love it.  The curls are so pretty!

I am out of town for a long weekend but I'm going to have a guest post by my adorable and wonderful cousin who will cover a new hair trend.  Get excited!

Before and After

So I got a trim today and this is the before and after.  Top one is before.  Obviously.  It's longer.  After I got it cut the stylist put some Bed Head Foxy Curls in it and I absolutely love it! And it smells amazing. I think I'm going to get me some.  Both of the pictures are of my hair completely natural (with the exception of my bangs in the second). I'm nervous my bangs are too short but they'll grow back soon enough.  Sorry for the poor quality/ mug shot pictures.

How I Wore It

I know I've already complained about it enough, but in case you haven't read my past posts this summer's humidity has been out of control.  I haven't even been bothering to do my hair much lately because of it.  But a few days ago I decided to work with the humidity and put some curls in.  This is how it ended up.

It got a little frizzy when I went outside despite that amount of product I put in it, but for the most part I was happy with it.  In other news, I'm due for a haircut and I can't decide what I want to do so look out for that post.

Have straight hair?

I'm looking at you sister.  Somehow, my sister got straight hair while I got curly hair (see above).  If you ever catch us getting ready together you'll often see her curling and me straightening.  But Karena and Katrina (who are awesome- check out their blog and other work out videos) did a video below on how to get beachy waves if you have straight hair.  To be honest, I haven't done it because I don't need any help in the curly department but I definitely do some things they suggest, like drying with an old t-shirt.  Even if you have curly hair, it's definitely worth watching!

NYC

Kelly Bensimon from Real Housewives of New York City.  I'm pretty obsessed with her hair color.  If I ever color my hair I'm takin her picture to the hair dresser.  Her website has this article with tips from her hair dresser to get her beachy waves.

Beverly Hills

I like RH of Beverly Hills.  I think I have a thing for the RH that take place in warm weather.  The contestant from Beverly Hills is Kyle.  While she doesn't have great hair it does look really healthy.  I also appreciate that she has long hair and never went to the "mom haircut."  She doesn't do a lot with it, it's usually straight, a bit wavy or a ponytail.
